Year 3 enjoyed a trip to the Bharat Hindu Samaj in Peterborough to enhance their learning about Hinduism and the Mahabharata and Ramayana epics. The children learnt more about Vishnu's avatars, Rama and Matsya and how Hindus leave offerings of dairy products at Vishnu's shrine. The leaders at the temple were very impressed with the children's knowledge and their curiosity around the Hindu stories. We had a brief glimpse into the story of Ganesh who we will be learning more about next term. We ended the trip with some refreshments while the temple volunteers were busy preparing a meal for the elders.
